Join our team and help MATLAB run fast! We're seeking a motivated Senior Performance Optimization Engineer to help us accelerate the code powering MATLAB and many products built on the MATLAB platform.

Responsibilities

Develop in C++, MATLAB, and JavaScript to optimize execution time, memory, and energy consumption of important product workflows

• Implement performance optimizations
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize their codebase
• Analyse and optimize performance of startup, UIs, MATLAB code, AI models
• Develop performance instrumentation and optimization tools
• Use performance profiling tools, e.g. VTune, xperf, Instruments
• Detect, analyze, and optimize performance regressions

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
• Experience with C++

Additional Qualifications

• Interest in performance measurement and optimization is required
• Experience with performance profiling tools (VTune, Instruments, xperf) is a strong plus
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Understanding of throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization
• Experience with JavaScript is a plus
• Software architecture and systems engineering expertise is a plus
